Privacy policy

Behaaglijk Wonen is committed to the protection of your personal data. This policy offers a clear explanation of how we deal with personal data. We make every effort to ensure your privacy and therefore handle your personal data carefully.

What personal details does Behaaglijk Wonen process?

To perform the agreement into which you enter with us, we need the following personal information from you:

Name and address details

Your name/company name is stored, because we prefer not to address you with your customer number. We need your address and location to send invoices, to get in touch with you or to visit you.

Email address

We retain your email address so that we can send you messages relating to the service or product that you purchase from us. We may also use your email address to send you newsletters. However, you always have the option of unsubscribing from these.

Telephone number

We use your telephone number to contact you concerning the service or product that you purchase from us.

Other data that we process

We also collect personal data that is not intended for the performance of an agreement. We do this on the basis of a legitimate interest, or with your consent. This concerns the following data:

Work-related personal data

If you apply to us for employment, naturally we want to know what you have to offer. Any data you submit, such as your CV, covering letter, portfolio or application assignment, will be deleted within four weeks should you not be recruited. If we intend to contact you at a later date, we will first ask for your permission to allow us to retain your data for longer.

Cookies

We place the following cookies:

  • A session cookie, which enables us to track and ensure that completed forms actually arrive;
  • A cookie that allows us to see whether your browser supports JavaScript;
  • Google Analytics cookie. These do not allow us to collect any personal information about you, but they do enable us to track the use of the website so that we can improve it.

Why do we process your personal data?

Naturally we have very good reasons for processing your personal data. We need your details for:

  • Contacting you in relation to the agreement we have entered into, for example sending emails;
  • Processing responses to our job vacancies;
  • Gaining insight into the use of our website, so that we can improve it where necessary and therefore provide a better experience.

We will not use your personal data for any purpose other than those mentioned above, unless you have given your prior consent or we are required to do so by law.

Your rights

Under the applicable Dutch and European legislation, as a data subject you enjoy certain rights concerning the personal data processed by us or on our behalf. We will explain what these rights are, below, and how you can avail yourself of them.

Initially, to prevent misuse, we will only send copies and transcriptions of your data to your email address already known to us. Should you wish to receive the data at another email address or by post, for example, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of completed requests; in the case of a removal request, we keep an anonymous record. You will receive all copies and data in the machine-readable format that we use in our systems.

You have the right at any time to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data in an incorrect manner.

Right of inspection

You always have the right to inspect the data that we process, or have processed, relating to you or which can be traced back to you. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address we have on record, together with a list of the processors who hold this data and the category under which we have stored it.

Right of rectification

You always have the right to have the data that we process, or have processed, relating to you or which can be traced back to you, corrected. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address we have on record, that the data has been amended.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the data that we process, or have processed, relating to you or which can be traced back to you. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address provided, that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right of portability

You always have the right to have the data we process, relating to you or which can be traced back to you, carried out by another party. You can make a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you transcripts or copies of all the data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our behalf by other processors or third parties, to the email address provided to us. In that case the likelihood exists that we will not be able to continue to provide services, as the secure interconnection of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right of objection and other rights

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Behaaglijk Wonen. If you object, we will immediately stop the data processing pending the settlement of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will provide you with transcripts and/or copies of the information we are processing, and will then permanently stop processing it.

You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe that this is the case, please get in touch with our contact person for privacy matters.
